OurBlkAI — Everybody Needs A MUTHA!
Last updated: September 27, 2026
OurBlkAI ("we," "our," or "the app") is your daily companion for insights across history, health, wealth, and education through a Black-centered lens. Your trust is the foundation of this community — this policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign up with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. Your name and email are used to identify you in the app and communicate with you about your account.
Your conversations with MUTHA
Your chats with MUTHA — including questions you ask, files you attach, and the responses you receive — are stored so your conversation history and follow-ups work. We may also save short notes from your conversations to personalize future responses (for example, remembering topics you care about).
Health and personal reflections
Some features let you share sensitive personal information — such as your blood type, health profile details, journal entries, and letters. This content belongs to you. It is stored securely, is visible only to you, and is used only to personalize your experience (for example, tailoring food guidance to your blood type). You can delete any entry at any time.
Payments and billing
When you purchase a subscription or query pack, payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive from Stripe only what's needed to manage your plan — such as your subscription status, renewal date, and a Stripe customer identifier — so your access stays active and accurate.
Usage and device information
To keep the app working and improve it, we collect basic technical information: how you use the app (for example, which features you open), app crashes, and general device information such as device type and operating system version. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so notifications can be delivered to your phone.
How we use your information
Our promises
• To operate your account — sign-in, subscriptions, and customer support.
• To personalize your experience — so MUTHA's guidance reflects what matters to you.
• To improve the app — understanding which features help, and fixing what doesn't.
• To communicate with you — service updates, renewal notices, and responses when you contact support.
• To keep the app safe — preventing abuse and enforcing our community guidelines.
How AI responses are generated
When you ask MUTHA a question, your question (and relevant context from your profile and recent conversation) is processed by AI systems to generate a response. MUTHA's guidance is for education and reflection — it is not medical, legal, or financial advice.
Sharing & your choices
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, ever. We share it only with:
• Service providers that help us run the app — hosting, payment processing (Stripe), sign-in (Google), and AI processing. They can only use your data to provide their service to us.
• The law — if we're legally required to, or to protect the safety of our users.
Your choices
You're in control:
• Delete your content — journal entries, letters, saved responses, and conversations can be deleted anytime from the app.
• Manage notifications — turn push notifications on or off anytime in your device settings or the app.
• Request deletion — email us to request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt out of analytics — contact us and we'll honor your request.
Children's privacy
OurBlkAI is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Questions about your privacy?
